Colleen Daniels currently works for the World Health Organization. She works on global advocacy related to TB/HIV. She has worked in HIV/AIDS research, campaigns and advocacy for the past 7 years.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations (1996), obtained in the United States and a Master’s degree in International Studies (International Political Economy, 1998) obtained in Melbourne, Australia.

She has lived and worked in a few countries including The Netherlands, the United States, Thailand, Australia, Tonga and Kenya. She holds dual South African (where she was born) and Australian citizenship and is currently based in Geneva.

Her previous experiences include working as a policy analyst and program manager for HIV/AIDS programs and R&D issues in health with Health Action International Europe, an HIV/AIDS Policy & Campaigns Officer in the Advocacy Department of World Vision Australia, overseas aid and development consultant with ACIL Australia, Policy Analyst and project manager (refugee issues) at the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs in Australia and was an Australian Youth Ambassador in the Kingdom of Tonga, where she was Project Manager for the Ha’apai Regional Authority (implementing infrastructure i.e. electrification of outer islands, disaster planning, solid waste management).
